You, or more specifically, your choice of frame, motivated us to address challenges related to bottom bracket installation and durability – thank you. We embraced the task to improve upon so-called bottom bracket standards to give you the UBB4630. Crafted from 7000 series aluminum alloy, the UBB4630 uses a threaded sleeve to lock both cups in place – without having all the locking effort rely on the press fit shell, thus providing a uniform spin and avoiding undesired noises. The flush fitting in the press fit region prevents bearing overload and also improves bearing alignment for a longer bearing life. The external bearing location affords a smoother spin and increased BB shell stiffness for PF30 and BBright standards. The internal sleeve also prevents cable guides from rubbing against rotating parts.

The Press Fit 4630 will easily accommodate your handpicked rig with its press fit, 46mm diameter with 30mm axle BB shell. ROTOR conceived its Universal Bottom Bracket (UBB) concept to eliminate the complicated bottom bracket/crank compatibility challenge that has increasingly frustrated the mechanics at your LBS. The Press Fit 4630 is the "yes" component to "Is this compatible with my press fit 46mm diameter BB shell for a 30mm axle?"

You think that your bike's performance features could be enhanced with components selected á la carte at your local bike shop — and that you should be able to accomplish this despite the spawn of deviant bottom bracket "standards" that have created component compatibility issues. Conventional threaded bottom brackets like your English-threaded BB shell shouldn't foil plans to upgrade your ride.
